Battle of Ortona 20th-28th December 1943 was the hardest street fighting in Italy and Western Front in WW2, compared only to Stalingrad and Warsaw Uprising. Canadians pushed out the town German elite 1st Fallschirmjaeger Division within a week. The biggest losses had The Loyal Edmonton Regiment (63 killed). Shoulder titles of  L.E.R. you find in enclosed decal.
